During my recent stay in Sigiriya, I opted for a transit stay at Sigiri Leisure Holiday Home. The convenience of its location near the nearest airport, which is just 3 km away, was a major plus point for me. As a frequent traveler, I appreciate easy access to airports, and this hotel nailed it in that aspect. the provided database allowed me to find this hotel effortlessly, making my transit stay smooth and hassle-free.
Despite requesting the staff to arrange a tuktuk driver to take us to the famous Sigiriya rock for the sunrise at 4.45am, the driver never showed up.

The room had a private bathroom with a bidet and free toiletries, which was a nice touch. It made us feel like we were staying in a fancy hotel. The tile/marble floor in the triple room gave it a classy vibe. It felt clean and luxurious, making us feel right at home. Having a private entrance in the triple room gave us a sense of privacy and independence. It made our stay more comfortable and convenient. The double room had an electric kettle, which was super handy for making a quick cup of tea or coffee in the morning. The double room also had a patio, which was a great place to relax and enjoy the view. It added an extra charm to our stay.
Personally, I wasn't a big fan of the view from the double room. It wasn't as impressive as I had hoped.

The hotel's decoration is charming and cozy, with beautiful local artwork and traditional furnishings. The general areas are well-maintained and have comfortable seating, perfect for taking a rest after a day of exploring. As a senior person, I found the hotel's accessibility excellent, with ramps and handrails in place to assist with mobility.
I would have appreciated more assistance from the staff in carrying luggage, especially for senior people.

We were extremely surprised by the hospitality shown to us at Sigiri Leisure Holiday Home. The owner, Ranjidth, went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. He took us on a tuk-tuk trip to the local lake and even gave us a lift to Lion Rock. He helped us organize a safari in Hurulu eko park where we spotted around 30 elephants. The room was clean and tidy, and breakfast served on the terrace was a great way to start the day. we highly recommend this hotel.

Had an amazing xmas stay at this homestay. The host family was super friendly and made us feel at home. The breakfast and rice and curry were delicious, and we even had the option to have a homemade curry for dinner. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, with a small veranda where we could relax on the deck chairs. The location was convenient, with a bus stop nearby and just a 20-minute walk to the Lion's Rock entrance. Another advantage was that the owner's sister had a cozy cafe/restaurant around the corner with great juices.
Honestly, there were no negative aspects during our stay. Everything was great and we couldn't have asked for a better experience.

We loved our stay at Sigiri Leisure Holiday Home! After a hectic few days, this place was exactly what we needed. The host was incredibly nice and even cooked us a delicious meal for a small fee. The room was clean and comfortable, with a great bed and bathroom. We were able to rent bikes and explore nearby attractions like Pidurangala Rock and Dambulla Caves. The hotel also offers safari tours and has a tuktuk available for guests. The highlight of our stay was when the host took us to see a nearby lake where an elephant had passed away. We couldn't have asked for a better experience!
We can definitely recommend this hotel!
